Bowls is a simple game of skill, tactics and a certain amount of luck. It is a very friendly leisurely sport embracing good sportsmanship and good etiquette. It is something more than a game for geriatrics. It is easy to learn, based on a fairly natural physical movement. Even novices with a few hours of instruction can take part in a competitive game of bowls. At Crowborough Wolfe we have our own qualified coach who will be happy to introduce new members to the basics of the game and help them learn to play.
Proficiency is necessary and will come with practice and more practice. (Perfection will take a little longer). It should not be forgotten that bowls is a competitive game and should be played with a will to win.
